There are basically two ways of transitioning. - Growing your relaxer out with protective hair styles and clipping the ends gradually.
- Growing your relaxer out for two to four months until there is an inch or two of new growth and chopping off the relaxed ends at once .
They both have their pros and cons. People will have their opinions of which way is the best. What it will come down to is what you are most comfortable doing. You may feel uncertain about how to style your hair while your are transitioning. Don’t worry there are styling options for you during the transition process. Plus I will be sharing some transitioning tips to help you along the way.
