I was just wondering, what exactly does glycerin do to hair? I'm transitiong right now. I use Mizani for my relaxed hair and raw shea butter and coconut oil mix on my natural hair. So far it's been good.

I haven't experienced a lot of breakage. I also use the shea and coconut nut oil on my 20 month old. Is glyerin ok to use on transitioning hair and my daughters hair? Sorry if this is in the wrong section, I'm brand new to this all!

Yep. I am talking about the seasoning that you put in spaghetti sauce. Marjoram, thyme, rosemary, sage, oregano, and basil are all herbs that are good for your hair.

Connections

One of the nice features of the NHCG Community is that you can connect with other members. A connection is a way for you to keep track of all of the friends that you meet around the site. Connections are not automatic so once you make a request be patient for the other member to get it and respond back.

Personal Messages (PMS)

In addition to making connections you can send personal messages to any member on the sight. But remember to keep it encouraging and upbeat. The same rules that apply to the NHCG Forum apply to the PMS

Public Gallery

While your personal galleries are only accessible to other NHCG Members the public gallery is there if you would like to share your encouraging pictures of natural hair, life and events with the general public. All registered members will be able to upload pictures to predefined albums.

Signup for one (or all) of the NHCG newsletters. There will be one general newsletter that will come out bi-monthly as well as several natural niche specific (locking and extensions)  newsletters that will come out quarterly.
