When I first started, a very young and inexperienced hair dresser began my locks. She was just getting \'into locking\' and fortuantely, I had strong and sturdy hair. I allowed her to cut the perm from my hair and my locks began as coils. Knowing the stages keeps one from being frustrated. At least you can observe the growth of the hair and know when and how to wash, etc. I did not know this prior to locking. Now that I know, I am so grateful!
